We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

About data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.
Website management
Our website was developed and is technically managed by: Ms. Karlien A. Liewes. Personal data you provide to us for the purposes of our services is accessible to this party. Ms. Karlien A. Liewes will only view details of your order or account at the request of Holland Italia Events, for example, for troubleshooting and support purposes. They will never use your data for any other purpose. Ms. Karlien A. Liewes is obligated to implement appropriate security measures. These security measures include SSL encryption, a strong password policy, and secure data storage. Ms. Karlien A. Liewes reserves the right, at our request, to share collected data within its own group and affiliated partners to further improve its services. Ms. Karlien A Liewes takes into account the applicable legal retention periods for (personal) data.

Web Hosting
We purchase web hosting and email services from Hosting2go, Wix, WordPress, Hostnet, and Register. Personal data is not used for the purposes of these organizations and parties. However, they may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not considered personal data. Hosting2go, WordPress, Hostnet, Register, and Wix have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Hosting2go, Wix, WordPress, Hostnet, and Register are obligated to maintain confidentiality under the confidentiality agreement.
Purpose of data processing / General purpose of processing
We use your data solely for the purposes of providing our services. This means that the purpose of processing is always directly related to the order you place. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later date—other than at your request—we will explicitly ask for your consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality based on the agreement between them and us, an oath, or a legal obligation.
Automatically collected data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (e.g., your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In certain cases, Holland Italia Events may be legally obligated to share your data in connection with government tax or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will object to this within the limits of the law.

Retention Periods
We retain your data for as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your client profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you indicate this to us, we will also consider this as a request to be forgotten. Due to applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for the duration of the applicable retention period. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents we have produced in connection with your assignment.
Your Rights
Under applicable Dutch and European law, you, as a data subject, have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain these rights below and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to the email address you already have on file with us. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by mail, we will ask you to identify yourself. We maintain records of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we maintain anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
Right of Access
You always have the right to access the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file for you, along with an overview of the processors who hold this data, stating the category under which we store this data.

Right to Rectification
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you personally or can be traced back to you, corrected. You can submit a request to this effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation that the data has been corrected to the email address we have on file for you.

Right to Restrict Processing
You always have the right to restrict the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or is identifiable to you. You can submit a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to Portability
You always have the right to have the data we process (or have processed) that relates to your person or is identifiable to you processed by another party. You can submit a request to this effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the email address we have on file. In all likelihood, we will no longer be able to continue providing services in such a case, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.
Right to Object and Other Rights
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Holland Italia Events in certain cases. If you object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with copies of the data that we process (or have processed) and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies.
