Great Masters of the Golden Age; 4-Day Program in the Netherlands

Holland Italia Events has been organizing tours and trips to the Netherlands for over 25 years, combining art, culture, and authenticity. Here's a sample program:

Day 1: Haarlem and the Frans Hals Museum 🎨

✈️ Arrival at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by an official guide.

🚐 Transfer to Haarlem
Visit the Frans Hals Museum, where you will admire masterpieces by the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age, including Ruisdael, Jan Steen, Saenredam, Van Goyen, Heda, and, of course, Frans Hals. Haarlem is known as the "City of Painters."

🏨 Hotel check-in
🍽️ Dinner at 8:00 PM (three courses, drinks not included – dinner is early in the Netherlands, around 6:00 PM).

 

Day 2: Amsterdam and its treasures 🛶

🕘 9:00 AM – Departure for Amsterdam
💡 Morning: Guided tour of the historic center
An immersion in the city's canals and unique architecture.

🛶 After lunch: Canal cruise (included).

🎨 Afternoon: Visit to Museumplein

  • Rijksmuseum: Masterpieces by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Floris van Dyck, and Hans Bollongier.

  • Van Gogh Museum: The most iconic works of the famous artist.

🏨 Return to the hotel at 6:00 PM
🍽️ Dinner at 8:00 PM.

Day 3: Leiden and The Hague 🏛️

🕘 9:00 AM – Departure for Leiden and The Hague
🎨 Option 1: Lakenhal Museum in Leiden
Admire the early works of Rembrandt, who was born here, with around 40 paintings, 70 etchings, and 10 drawings.

🎨 Option 2: Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague
Iconic works from the Golden Age, including Vermeer's famous Girl with a Pearl Earring.

🌆 Panoramic tour of The Hague: City of the Dutch Royal Family and Government.

🏨 Return to the hotel at 6:00 PM

Day 4: Delft, Rotterdam, and beyond 🏙️

🕘 9:00 AM – Departure for Delft and Rotterdam
🎨 Delft: Discover the places linked to Vermeer's life and the atmosphere that inspired his works. More info: Delft on holland.com.

🎨 Optional extra: Dordrecht Museum
A little hidden gem, with works by the Dordrecht Masters, Rembrandt's students.

✈️ Departure for Schiphol Airport.
